1. How do I make a booking?

Choose any of our products & services that you like, then send us an email regarding your inquiry. Confirmation will be sent to you in a short period of time.

 

Maximum details are required in order to eliminate correspondence time such as: number of persons/participants, flight details, fax number, and or additional request/s (if any). As soon as we get confirmation from the hotel/resort with booking number & code, we will forward the copy of the fax to you via email attachment. Please keep in mind that when you are contacting us, you are connected to a real person/human, not a machine or an auto- responsive email system

2. What is the payment method? Do I pay the Hotel Or You?

For the holiday packages, last minute hotel deals, diving, tours and transfers that you book through our Tour Division, you do not pay the hotel but you pay us (Rinjani Explorer - Tour Division), excluding any additional personal expenses you may incur, i.e: meals, alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages, Spa treatments, or anything which is not mentioned in the program, the hotel or third party agencies will charge you separately.

 

You can pay us upon your arrival Or when you meet with our guide in the airport or harbor. Payment must be made by cash, as we do not currently accept payment using credit cards. For additional personal expenses during your stay, most hotels accept major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or AMEX) with 3-5% additional charges.

3. Why are the rates not shown in your website?

Rinjani Explorer does not show the prices on the website, because the price may fluctuateand change, depending on the bargaining result and the kind of  service required

4. Who will pick us up upon arrival?

If you book any of our tour packages, pick up and transfer services from the airport or harbour are automatically included.

 

Each tour package is escorted by your choice of an English or an Indonesian speaking guide.

 

Upon request, we also can provide Italian, Dutch, or French Speaking Guide

5. Where I can find your local contact number in case of urgent assistance?

Our Office is in Sembalun Lawang Village, which is very well known in Lombok. You can use taxi or Public Transportation to the Rinjani Explorer Office.

6. When does the peak holiday season start? Are there any additional surcharges?

The peak holiday season in major tourist destinations all over Indonesia are: July 10th - September 10th (School Holidays), and December 15th - January 15th (Christmas & New Year).

 

Additional surcharges of US $ 15-25/room/night may apply on major 3-5 star hotels.

7. When is the best time to Trek Mount Rinjani?

The best months for trekking Rinjani are April, May, June and July, because all of the trees and savannah grassland are still green. The months of August, September and October are dry and dusty. August is the busiest month for Rinjani National Park.  It is very crowded because many students from all over Indonesia come to trek and perform ceremonies close to Indonesian Independent day in Rinjani national park.

 

The peak tourist season for trekking Rinjani is July, August and September.

8. When is The Rinjani National Park closed for trekking activities? Why does the national park close?

Rinjani National Park is closed for any trekking activity in November, December,  January, February & March, because this is the rainy season. The track becomes slippery and is potentially dangerous for trekkers.  Also the views are often obscured because of cloudy and rainy weather.
